The gold tower rooms facing the downtown activity are not good for rest. This hotel has some rooms that are not for rest. To the hotel manager's credit, he said he would refund my upgrade fee. At 6am, after my only 3 hours uninterrupted sleep, the sun magnified against the white metal venetian blinds and blinded me into wakeful disgust at this rooms inability to offer a guest some rest. Fourth, and most importantly, there were no curtains on the windows. Third, the room was above the noisy strip and I was woken up four times between 12 and 3 am by music and thundering. Second, the corner sectional in the photo was not there and I had a chaise lounge. First, I arrived to use water bottles as my stocked water. The room was a club room but club did not mean much because there were virtually no club amenities. When I arrived, it turns out I booked a deluxe room in the renovated Gold Tower with an upgrade option upon arrival. I booked over a month early using an email promotion. We were not happy because we were not warned before booking that this feature was down for renovation.
However, on this trip, the waterslide was out of service and the sharks were not in the tank. We come to this hotel for the pool and water slide. Typically, we love this hotel as our go to Vegas location.
